Bible Study

“Nothing must be taught without the Sacred Scriptures.” -Saint Cyril of Jerusalem

Dive into Scripture and see how it can impact your life.  Don't own a Bible?  No problem!  One can be provided for you!

Our Bible study meets on Mondays at 7:30pm in the St. Jude lounge.

Adoration

Gaze upon him, consider him, contemplate him, as you desire to imitate him.

St Clare of Assisi

Eucharistic Adoration is a form of worship in which Jesus Christ in the Blessed Sacrament is exposed.  During this time, one can read books on the Saints, pray the Rosary, spend the time in silent reflection, and more!  Check out our calendar for upcoming times.

Becoming Catholic/ Learning about the Catholic Faith

If you're a Catholic who has not been confirmed, a Christian who is interested in the Catholic faith, or someone who is looking to become Catholic, then RCIA is for you.  In RCIA, adults are introduced gradually into the beliefs, worship and life of the Christian. Each participant has a sponsor, a fully initiated Catholic, to walk him/her through this process. If you are interested in learning more about the Catholic faith, would like to become Catholic, or receive your sacraments, please contact us to set up a time to meet.  All are welcome!

Small Groups

Each semester, the Newman Center offers different faith sharing small groups for students to interact with and grow in their own faith.

We typically have three small groups - Men's Group, Women's Group, and Journey of Faith.

Men's group centers around building camaraderie with other Catholic men on campus while discussing various topics of the faith.  The usual meeting time has been on Mondays at 6pm in the St. Jude lounge.

Women's group dives into what it means to be a woman of faith while fighting against the current of what society dictates.  The usual meeting time has been on Tuesdays at 6pm in the St. Jude Lounge. In the past, we have studied Misericordia - a deep dive study on the Corporal and Spiritual Works of Mercy through the examples of modern lay holy women.

Journey of Faith focuses on our own faith journey and what we can do to navigate along the path God is calling us to.  This is done by looking at today's media (TV shows, movies, songs, etc.) and applying the Catholic themes that appear to our faith.  The topic for this semester is discernment!  If there is enough interest, Journey of Faith will meet on Tuesdays at 7pm in the St. Jude lounge.
