Our Mission

The Alfred Newman’s mission is to go out and proclaim the Gospel, and to make disciples for His Church.  This mission is lived through the students on the campuses of Alfred State and Alfred University by an invitation to connect, encounter, pray, grow, and serve.​

The Alfred Newman Center is a place where all college students are invited to encounter Jesus Christ.  Through building a relationship with Jesus, they discover more of who they are and experience the call to build up the Church on their campus, in their parish, and in the world. Alfred Newman proclaims the Catholic faith through words and deeds which encourages the examination and action in the lives of the students.
